Second Announcement for Workshop on Meso-scale Systems
in Meiyu/Baiu Front and Hydrological Cycle
Xi'an, China
3-8 November, 1999
Under the auspices of GAME/HUBEX project, the workshop on meso-scale
systems in Meiyu/Baiu front and hydrological cycle will be held in
Xi'an, China on 3-8 November, 1999. The arrangements of the conference
are as follows.
1. Conference location and accommodation
● Conference location Grand New World Hotel
address: Lianhu Road, Xi'an (see map for the location)
● Accommodation Grand New World Hotel (4 star)
Single: 320RMB (a free western-style breakfast)
Standard: 370RMB (double free western-style breakfast)
Deluxe suit: 650RMB (a free western-style breakfast)
2. Extended abstract
● Space on A4 size paper, no more than 4 pages, including diagrams
● Format same as the preprint volume of GEWEX conference
● Deadline 25 September, 1999
● Mailing to HUBEX Project Office (by E-mail or air express)
3. Schedule arrangement
● 3 November Registration (in Grand New World Hotel)
● 4-6 (morning) November Workshop
● 6 (afternoon) November Visiting Xi'an city
● 7-8 November Visiting Tunhuang Grottoes
(on voluntary basis with own expense)
4. Visa
● The formal invitation letter will be issued by China Meteorological
Administration (CMA) for application for entry visa.
5. Return of registration form
● In order to arrange the accommodation and tour, please fill in the
related form and send them to HUBEX Project Office by E-mail or fax no
later than 25 September.
6. Registration fee
● The registration fee is US Dollar $100 which includes conference
preprint volume, conference reception dinner, sightseeing and other
matters.
● Payment will be acceptable in cash at the registration.
