いつもお世話になっております。
MAGSのNormand Bussieresさんから以下のようなメールが来ました。
陸域の水体の温度を観測された方、水体の温度を衛星から
算定したい方、またそれを水体のモデリングに応用したい方
などは田中までご連絡下さい。
田中は琵琶湖プロジェクト（寒冷地ではありませんが）での水温
データを使って、何らかの連携を図りたいと思います。

Dear Dr. Tanaka.
It was a pleasure to meet you in Nagoya at the GAME Siberia conference,
and I thank you again for question about the use of AVHRR water temperature
data.
You may be aware that the MAGS scientists were asked to I am putting
together a
letter of intent for collaboration with GAME Siberia scientists.
I will be doing the following work for MAGS:
1. Using AVHHR CAGES data over the Mackenzie basin for 1998 and 1999,
determine the evolution of skin temperatures of a sample of water bodies
of size > 10km2.
2. For water bodies with known depth, determine, from AVHRR or buoy data,
the relationships between remotely sensed water body temperatures with
water body size, depth, elevation and latitude.
Could you let me know what you think about the following questions:
How can these two work items above could be related to any collaborative
effort
that would beneficial to both MAGS and GAME. If so,
- are there GAME water temperature measurement over the Siberian plateau?
- is any GAME Siberia scientist (you, or Dr. Susuki?) interest to look at
water temperatures?
- do you think someone from GAME-Siberia would be interested in this?
